No shell, now being attacked, and hard poop around vent

Last Saturday we had one of our Leg Horns lay an egg without a shell and on Monday she laud another egg with a soft shell. Its spring time in Wisconsin so they are getting outside of their run more and we mix Oyster Shells in thier feed so were unless sure of what happened.

Our concern is now the other 3 are picking on her since the no shell incident. Right when 1 seems to be decent to her at night when there in the coop they attack. Now tonight I noticed that she has hard poop stuck to her vent. Any ideas on what we can do?

I haven't given them plain yogurt in about 1.5 months so its on my grocery list.

I don’t think you are supposed to mix the oyster shells into their feed... just give it to them in a separate dish and they’ll take what they need.

We dont mix in oyster shell and the same thing is happening to our hen... So i dont think thats it... Anyone else? Im following

Correct that OS should be separate from feed.
Soft shells can be caused by many things... stress, lack of nutrients, disease.
Adding more calcium, in any form, is rarely the solution.
Overall balanced diet is important,
they need other nutrients to make the calcium 'work' right.

You should examine her vent closely and trim or wash off the poop.
If it is a build up of loose stools, it could indicate a diet or disease issue.
A flock may attack a sick bird to drive it from the flock for safety...or she could be acting off and they don't like it.
