This little one is 2-3 weeks old. No idea of breed. No tail yet to speak of, just a little fluff bump. Grey-blue eyes, light yellow/grey feet, black beak. Wing feathers coming in black w/a bit of grey. Any guesses on breed or gender? Their same-age “siblings” have tails.

Are you sure of the age? Yours looks a lot like my Elvis did, that being said he was the largest of my four initial chicks and I’m not sure how old he was then. He could’ve very well been around two weeks as now the chicks are all about the same size. He was also unlabeled but I believe to be a sapphire gem. I also say “he” but really I don’t know for sure, they’re almost five months old and I haven’t seen any rooster behavior.

Not 100% on the age. Youngest this one could be is 2 weeks old +/- 2 days. This one is the same size or bigger than their siblings but much shorter wing/tail development. One of their siblings has wings so long they’re as long as her body! I’ll post a pic for comparison.

Some comparison pics. Grey one is larger in body size but behind in tail & wing development:

Being slower to feather out is a likely male trait. If you see a marked difference between this one and its same breed/same age siblings, then it's probably a cockerel.
