no tail feathers mean a Cockerel?

Yea, I was very happy to hear him crow. We were hoping for one rooster to help protect the hens and then breed later on )

I want to start by saying this is such a awesome place to get information and read others stories! Everyone is so helpful. I'm new to owning my girls. So yet I have another question:? I have two older chicks 11 weeks. I purchased them not doing my homework first. Seems I ended up with Easter eggers? Still not sure. I also purchased 3 RIR after I did do my homework and they are girls.

So one of my easter eggers ( pepper)has nice tail feathers and wings, has from the time we got them. She's cream/ brown. The other one ( sassy) has barely any tail feathers and had very tiny wings when we purchased them. Sassy also has a tint of purple in His/ her feathers. Sassy is top of pecking order and sticks his or her neck high and Very observant ! I'm going to post a picture of both. Maybe someone can tell me if sassy is a rooster?

I also said we have asked before what breed they may be. We have had wonderful feedback and help! If anyone else has any thoughts please let me know. Thank you!

this is sassy for a long time of course tell now I thought she was going to be a hen . Black/ purple color to her feathers. Very curious, makes a noise none of the others make. Also holds her head up tall! First to observe anything ! The more I read the more sassy seems to be a rooster. When she was a baby she had no wings and no tAil feathers as the tail is still quite short.

here is sassy as a baby. Please if anyone cAn look at her and let me know. I would really appreciate it! Thank you, I'm use to calling her my girl

I would say rooster. My boy grew tail feathers MUCH slower than my pullet of same breed.
