We had several big hail storms last night!!! Crazy weather we've been getting here in very north coastal california.

here's my dog dusky saying "this still means we get to play, right?"

Here are the ducks (bumbed it turned out blurry, would have been nice with the flowers and all)

The chickens of course are still roosting! They'll get some chicken gruel/oatmeal when they decide to come out!!!

Those are runner ducks---I believe they are of the "penciled fawn" variety- but to be honest, I 'm not sure.

The chickens finally came out and the rooster began to dutifully crow just below the kitchen window in the carport (where there's no hail to walk in!)---so OF COURSE, I made them their warm chicken gruel. Today, it consisted of, raisins, oatmeal, feed, mixture of grains, leftover pasta, leftover chicken, a dash of flax seed and some DE--all cooked up nice and warm and set out there for them to gorge on!

The only problem is they'll leave me with tons of chicken poop....right by the entryway!!!!
