No to Cherrios - really?

I can't believe it. I was cleaning up cupboards and the pantry over the weekend. There were a partial boxes of multigrain Cherrios and Rice Chex leftover from a nephew's visit. DH & I rarely eat cereal, and mostly granola if we do.

So I decided to toss the 2 boxes of cereal to the chickens. They gobbled up the Chex, but have refused to eat the Cherrios for 3 days!

hmm. that IS weird!

my chickens eat the leftovers from my toddler and pre-schooler. i guess our cheerios have milk on them, so they are totally irresistible.

Mine won't eat Cherrios either!! I also thought that was strange.

maybe its just too different? try adding a little water to them and mush em up- betcha they'd like em then...

Okay this is going to sound ridiculous.... But i cut them into fourths for my bantam girls so they can swallow them.

mine won't touch them unless I grind them up and add liquid. Go figure.
