We didn't find what we were looking for, so DH offered to make it. I said sure. Then he made a bigger one when I said "I wish it were bigger" lol
I like this one, I already have a litter pan like the one show. You could add a 45 and a cap to it and run it outside for easier fillingSo I'm looking at PVC pipe feeders for chickens but.... The hole may be too small for duck? So this one may be not as scary for them? ~ http://www.pinterest.com/pin/157837161914333333/
Yeah, the higher sides mentioned I think is the key. I just need to figure out how to down size it. I need one feeder to feed a single duck, and one more that is for two ducks. I only put out a couple of scoops of food at a time. It is so humid and rainy here I worry about it getting moldy if it sits more than a couple of days.If they won't put their head in the elbow-type feeder, a 5 gallon bucket with a hole on the side (towards the bottom) and a heavy-duty pan, either an aluminum baking sheet or a galvanized oil pan bolted to the bottom would allow feed to spill out easily. The one that Punkstermom posted also seems like a rad idea.
I use this duck feeder to feed my ducks without wasting my feeds. This duck feeder or chicken feeder is easy to set up and use. This is a gravity feeder that keeps your feed secure and away from elements and mice.
