Day 23 & we still have chicks hatching

So far 7 out of 8 Light Brahmas have hatched. Noah has 7 Dorkings & 1 more almost out.

5 + the one zipping are red, 1 is vary dark with almost a mahogany & 2 that came out of eggs marked "grey" are whitish... 1 has a black stripe down its back & both have black head stripes.

There's 1 Brahma & 3 grey Dorkings yet to pip.

So far, this has been a great hatch! One got half zipped yesterday & didn't make it, but it was the only one that did that. I think this hatch is going better because I've increased ventilation by keeping the viewing windows (LG still air) open a crack. I open them a touch more when humidity gets high.

I'll post pics after I run kids to school

It sounds like everything is going good but i think your temperature is probably a little low because they should be finished hatching on day 21.

I thought the same thing. I had read that temp in a forced air should be around 99.5. I was so paranoid about this hatch that I tried keeping it a bit lower than I usually do which is about 101 to 102. Plus we had a few days where the house temp droppped pretty low & the bator temp followed suit. The hatcher is a still air. Should I try hatching in the forced air instead?

I'm a little confused. the temperature in the forced air is the concern which is the one you are setting in and hatching in the still air correct? I think the still air is ok just keep them sprayed twice a day. I use my daughter little barbie doll spritzer. I lay it in the bator so it's the same temp as the eggs.
