Noise level.

What is the noise comparison in a button quail and a coturnix quail? Like the calls... The button quail is a soft subtle cute whistle like call. I have a bunch of buttons but am about to hatch coturnix next. What kind of noise can I expect?

In my experience, which is limited, once they got to 4/5 weeks they crowed constantly! I only hatched out 13 but 9 were boys. One of the boys was exceptionally loud but the one I kept has a very low call, which doesn't bother me. I'm sorry I haven't heard a button call but if you keep the males in the house, once they start crowing it will drive you crazy.

Yes. I have my buttons, my 2 pet silkies all inside they are all house pets. Lol Along with my parrots, a sun conure, cockatiel, and a lovebird.

They're crow aren't very loud compared to the button quail location sound, also their call is very abrupt and the button quail call for a longer time.
