We have some chicks that hatched in an incubator on Saturday. They have everything they need but are soooooooo noisy! Does anyone have any suggestions????

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Chicks are naturally talkative. However, if they are overly nosey, it usually means something is wrong. Check the temperature and their behavior. Are they spread out and panting? Of so, they are too hot. If they are huddled under the lamp and peeping, they are too cold. Otherwise, they may have pasty butt? Are their vents messy or clogged?

Glad you joined! X2 on Mountain Peeps questions. It's also possible that your chicks are just bored. Try hanging some leafy greens such as lettuce, kale, cabbage, etc, in the brooder, and give them some grass clumps to peck at. You can also put some branches or sticks in there for them to play on.

If they are just bored, you could give them a small, brightly colored ball, they will push around. A mirror so they can check out the reflection. Definitely branches so they can practice roosting.

Thank you, it was very warm here last night, so I moved them outside eventually. I'd checked their bums & they were clear. They were spread out so that makes sense. I really appreciate the warm welcome & your help. Thank you both for your advice!

You're welcome!
Make sure that when you take them outside, you are always watching them or have them in a cage or run, protecting them from predators.
