A couple of our birds have been late bloomers, as well. One is an EE and the other is a Barred Rock. The Barred Rock is huge, and we thought for awhile that she was a closet rooster, but she laid an egg at about 10-11 months. There just seem to be birds that do not mature as quickly as others.
