- Non-GMO Poultry Feed & Farm Tour
- I live in Marion Indiana. A fellow area chicken owner put me in contact with a Farm approximately 15 miles from my home that's growing and mixing three different types of non-GMO poultry feeds. I took a tour of their operation within the last week, I was very impressed. They make other non-GMO animal feeds besides poultry feed. They also make canola oil in bulk for big companies, package and ship out of this location.
- Sometime within the next couple months We were planning on doing a video series and taking another tour through the facilities. The owner and I talked about this in detail this past week. The owner has a degree in agriculture from Iowa State University, I feel very blessed to have been put in contact with these people. At least one if not more Amish poultry operations have been testing and evaluating the feed for a number of years, they have done extensive testing to get what they feel is the best feed available. They also mix custom feeds for people.
- If this is of interest to you, let me know by responding. I'm sure we could set up a group tour, possibly even when we do the video series. It could be a fun "meet and greet" with other poultry owners. They make layer feed, boiler feed and chick starter for poultry. The feed is priced by the pound and needs to be pre-ordered a day or so in advance. They could even have it ready for you on the day of the tour. The tour could be sooner than two months from now if we get enough interested, probably should try to keep the numbers to around 30 people or less. If we have more interested we might need to make two different tour times.
- Again respond ASAP if interested
