My new friend in twitterverse liked this one and so I expanded the theme:


Swing from limb to limb,
Hear the rhythm in the leaves;
That the breeze preforms…

Eviscerating
Suitors drove jasmine’s movement;
glib, morbid rhythm

On this one my new friend in the twitterverse wasn’t sure the use of “jasmine” in this haiku…. So I clarified with this reply:


A revenge story,
She beat them at their own “game”;
Her #intellect won

She went Medieval
Gave them history lesson;

A little off topic, DD had to write a paper on something she read. She is attending a Jesuit University and her Prof is a Jesuit Priest. She said he likes them to be artistic and think outside the box, so she wrote a 3 page poem! I just read it and I think it is really good, can't wait to see her grade. Thanks for letting me brag a little. She was trying to teach me easy ways to write Haiku. She just rattles them off, with meaning as to the current conversation. She is like you, @electrycmonk . I wish I had half the brains.

Show her a link to this thread… let her join in…. Or perhaps let her know of the haiku communities that abound in the twitterverse…

I could point her to at least a half dozen flavors of haiku…
