Muscovy are often touted as not needing ponds but my muscovy clearly didn't read the articles

All of them enjoy the pool and water, they dive, splash and have a soaking wet, making mud time.

All ducks were made for water/swimming/diving, hence the webbed feet. There are a few breeds that tend to stay out of water more than others like muscovys but: ducks are to water, as pigs are to mud, or as bugs are to fire its just nature. now you can get away with just providing a waterbowl deep enough for them to submerge there head and be able to preen with but there feather quality will not be as good compared to the same breed that has access to swimming water

My Khaki Campbells LOVE water! My fawn and white runner (rest in peace little buddy! <3 ) was always the last in and the first out! He only liked to take a quick dip, where as the Khaki's could spend all day in their kiddie pool!

thank you any others!
im looking for my first ducks.
they have to fly at lest 6 feet vertical and swim good.

Funny you say that, one of my runners is the same way. The others adore the water, but he just likes a quick dip too. Even when they were little ducklings, he would be the first one peeping to get out of the tub and trying to jump over the edge. he loved to cuddle in the towel in my lap until the others were done.
