Noob saying hi!

Hi all!
I've been frequenting this site for months, but it wasn't until today that I finally decided to sign up. I'm a huge animal lover with two dogs, two cats and a snake. I moved to Apopka this summer and decided it was finally time to get some chickens! Five beautiful hens (hopefully--one might be a roo, but time will tell) were added to our family in August. They are:
Ginny (Blue Laced Red Wyndotte)
Gidget (Hamburg)
Gertie (Black Copper Marans)
Gwen (Barred Rock)
Gigi (Silkie Bantam)

They haven't started laying yet, and I still have a great deal to learn, but chilling with my girls has become the highlight of my day and I'm pretty sure I'll never be chickenless again.

I'm also a pescatarian meaning I don't eat meat other than fish, so my chickens will certainly have long and happy lives.
