I’ve never manually incubated eggs before, our bantams used to take care of the hard graft for me. However, needs must and we currently have 6 silver appleyard duck eggs in a forced air incubator. They’re at 35 degrees, humidity is a bit high but with no water in it is 60 (and I have some of those little sachets to absorb water in there to bring it down).
Eggs were shipped, they’re day 7 now and I candled them to see if there was any progress, one definitely has the start of blood vessels, I thought another two did too but I’m not sure. The yolks are on one side which from what I’ve read on the forum is ok. However, one has the yolk lolling about all over the place inside. Is this a dead egg? The place I’ve bought them from says to candle day 7 and if any issues get in touch so I’ll call them tomorrow. As far as I’m aware this is just one of those things, what is the Normal in such a situation, do they replace the eggs?
