NoooB question: What happens if you cross Bantam with Standard? (SFs)

Is it a bad idea to cross bantam with standard Salmon Faverolles? We have 4 standard pullets, and are about to get a bantam roo. We like the idea of full sized eggs, so we might not hatch any of this cross, but I'm wondering anyway. Call it hatch fever!

I had some English game crossed with RIR's once. Result was a medium sized chicken that laid a decent sized egg.

Theoretically, you'd get a medium sized (over sized bantam or undersized standard) that would lay a mid sized egg. Trust me when I say if that bantam roo is the only one available, he'll give it an E for effort to get the job done, regardless of how big and intimidating your females are. I have a little Araucana yard roo that tries his darndest to breed our Australorp hen when the Australorp roo isn't looking. Lord help him if he's caught in the act! Run little chicken, run for your life! Ha ha ha ha ha
