I remember those days (Air Force Brat). It was always harrowing for my folks. I'm sure that you will find good homes for your chickies, but I know that the goodbyes can be rough.

My nephew lives in Nashville, i will see if he is interested in them. what about your coop? how many chickens do you have, any other animal you have to get rid of.

Man, I remember when you get orders you go. Navy Brat and Married to Navy man.

Same questions. I live near McMinnville, about 100 miles away from Nashville, but day trips are not out of the question. I have 9 chickens (all grown, 5 black sex-links, 2 mutts and 2 buff rocks) and we live out in the country, so space is not an issue, but housing is. We'd have to build another coop/run. My DH is retired Navy, so I know what it's like to pull up stakes and move! Thank goodness we're both retired, so those days are over. PM me if you get desperate.

I have a sister in Clarksville-let me know what you have and I'll check and see if she would be interested.
So sorry you have to rehome them, but thanks to you and your DH for your service.

We are in Clarksville, TN on the other side of the state. We have 6 layers (5 red sexlinks, 1 plymouth rock) and 10 babies. They were a mixed straight run so I have no idea what they are going to grow up to be...beyond adorable.
