I have to keep all my hatch dates typed on a notepad on my laptop because I cannot remember them. Right now I have my advanced full and my Hovabator full and tomorrow I will have my 2 new Ecos full!

It's my first time using my new Brinsea Octagon 20 Advance with the humidity pump. The eggs went in on Easter Sunday so they are due to hatch May 15. I just love this incubator. It's practically foolproof.
My sister nicknamed it "Darth Bator" because of the sound the humidity pump makes.

I have 21 eggs in it: Ameraucanas, Marans, Lavender Orpingtons and Olive Eggers.

I got this bator too!! I absolutely love it although I don't have anything to compare it with as it's my first one. How do you like yours?

It's great! I LOVE not stressing about turning the eggs and refilling the humidity troughs.

I've only hatched in a HovaBator so far, and I'm hoping this will give me some better results.

I'm in! I have a batch of 21 silkie eggs that are due to hatch May 1st or 2nd in my Octagon 20 Eco. I also have some Sebastopol Goose eggs due to hatch around the 9th in my Octagon 20 advance. I love these Brinsea hatchalongs!

I'm in . Yee haw!!! I'm setting 130 Bob Whites in my Brinsea DX 40 tomorrow. They take 23 days to hatch is what I was told. I've hatched coturnix & chickens but never hatched Bob Whites. Will see. I fired up old faithful & she's running smooth.

I just shared this link with my daughter's kindergarten teacher, you may find some of the images useful, but certainly not all of them as they are rather graphic for 5 year olds.
They are embryo development photos from the Purdue Research Institute and I posted them on my Facebook page and blog page this morning.

I use those pictures with my kids they came as part of our Egg Story unit plan that came with our Brinsea Classroom pack.

Some of them are pretty graphic though and it's tricky using them w/ little students b/c they're expired.
