My 13 year old daughter had a hard time getting these two to cooperate for the photo but it turned out pretty cute. Imagine what you could write in the thought bubbles for these two.

day 21 nothing yet, these are large (huge) eggs so are most likely a little behind so wont get tooooo nervous till tomorrow

My first Brinsea just arrived in the mail last night and hauled it to school this morning. It will be used for our first classroom hatch here in the hood. I am sitting in my classroom now and the students are at P.E. Setting silkie, bobwhite, and coturnix quail next week. Due June 1. Will this count for May?

Set the eggs back on April 23 in the ECO 20. Little by little I have been adding other products and I am thrilled at how much these little changes have made peep raising easier. Yesterday the OvaqScope arrived and I candled the eggs. It was great! I have a mix if white to dark brown and I cold see in all colors even thought the darkest were a little hard I could still see something. I really liked the dial feature so I could turn the egg. I spent over half on a flashlight (200 lumes) that is of better use in my jacket pocket then for candling once I used the OvaScope. What a great prize for someone that hatches. ..Okay I've said my .02 worth

I have hatched chickens twice so far in my Brinsea Eco, and have peachicks due to hatch 5/20/11! Love my Brinsea - awesome hatch rates!

Went into lockdown last night. Here are my numbers now:

3 EE/Maran cross
15 EE (3 questionable ones)

With any luck I will have at least 15 hatch I hope!!!!

So I am in lockdown x3!!! I just added the rest of my barnyard mixes to the Advanced. I hadd 3 sets of eggs which were all 2 days apart. So everyone is all set in the incubator right now.

How is everyone else doing so far??

Well I candled today and it appeared every egg was developing...but I managed to drop one. Cracked the shell, not bad enough to break into the membrane. I put some scotch tape on it and put it back in the bator. Hoping that works

So hopefully 6 out of the 7 will be okay..... We shall see.
