Normal Button behavior?

My two Buttons are doing wonderfully. They've finally started making more noise- including both crowing their "Weep weep weep" cry. Today, however, they've gotten even noisier! I can hear them peeping and talking to each other, which I never could before. The male has been making his not-quite-crowing "weep"s all day, the hen has been peeping, and both have crowed several times instead of just once in a whole day.

The hen has also been laying! I didn't see it until a few days ago (last night I counted 7 eggs). I've read they don't usually lay in one spot, but she's got all the eggs tucked into the modified small tissue box I gave them to hide in, all close to each other. Both of them have been going in and out of the box all day, more then usual.

So, is the increase in noise just because they've finally totally settled in? Is it really that abnormal for a hen to keep all her eggs together? I'll have to count eggs again- I disturbed the quail to cage clean yesterday, but left the eggs and nest alone for them.

My silver button hen lays eggs all over the place, except when she wants to hatch them. Then she lays around 6 or so in the corner and then she incubates them. I t has been a couple of months since she hatched out any and she is laying the eggs randomly scattered about.

I need to go research bugs for them... mealworms, superworms, phoenix worms... etc ... At least I know about a lot of these things already, I just can't recall specifics. Kinda weird my reptile knowledge is coming into play for a couple of birds... wait, aren't they both from dinosaurs?

My buttons tend to lay in the same spot weather they are going to hatch them or not. The noise is a new one on me mine do have times when they make more sounds that is usually when I clean, move things or add things. Or if I change around the pairs they really get loud then.
