My girls arrived yesterday! Four buff orpingtons, hatched on Friday or Saturday. They are all doing well, very lively, eating a lot, drinking well, and running around. My question is, is it normal to be able to feel their crop? It doesn't seem overly large, but when i pick the chick up, i can feel it, and feel the food inside it. They haven't had anything to eat but chick starter and water. Is this normal?
