We have two mallards, a male and female, who are around 9 weeks old. The past few days I've noticed the female getting nippy. She's too young to be laying so I don't know why she'd be cranky. She's chasing the dog and even went after her male buddy. Is this normal?
Also is it typical for the males to be a lot less outgoing than the females?
