just picked up 2-year old turkeys and want to make sure they’re ok.
i got a male and a female and the female seemed particularly freaked out. i know blackhead disease could have yellow poo as a symptom...so i’m wanting to see if that’s what this is.

Yeah, give it more time to see. Also
—Save-a-chic (for me it’s been the most reliable brand) or any other brand poultry/livestock electrolyte replenishment supplement would be a fantastic help for your new baby-boos. These products are most recommended for these exact scenarios.
—secondly, turkeys, once or twice a day have a specific defecation that’s different than all their other poops, everyday they will have a cloacal emptying—it is some of the most disgusting “feces” you will ever encounter. The smell is rancid, it definitely LOOKS like the feces of a sick bird, but it isn’t feces at all. It took a while for me to get used to it. It’s such a relief when 20 minutes later you see a nice coil of green sh*t, hahahahaha.
—electrolytes, Save-a-chic, vetrx, poultry booster, etc—DEFINITELY GIVE THEM SOME OF THAT—ALONG WITH A SEPERATE THING OF FRESH H20.
I had 2 turkeys, they were my legit kids! Mazeltov!
Blackhead, I learned from asking an employee in the field of poultry management (the gross kind)—i used to Leah’s be on the lookout for it bc chickens were around and I was a catastrophist, esp for those turkeys (sorry I’ll get to the point) blackhead—they will die soon. Like I used to turn myself crazy over it, not knowing that they would decline quickly quickly.
Keep in touch, let me know how they are in a few days
Good luck with your boos! You’re all in my prayers!
