I'm not sure if this is normal or not. I know there are many other posts with people linking a page with poo descriptions but I still can't tell one from the other. And usually have a tendency to jump to the worst conclusion

This is the rooster he is about 10 months or so I was told. Still runs around chasing the girls, eating, drinking

They get fed a 20% protien all flock blend and treats of mealworm and Beatles, as also are outside in the grass for most of the day.

This is bad isn't it 😮‍💨😟😣

Anyone here with experience is welcome to respond to questions. Educator is just a badge that BYC awards. I see what may be some reddish poop that could be intestinal shed, but if I saw more, I might consider treating with some Corid/amprollium or worming. There are white urates (kidney waste) on the surface. The green could be more bile or having eaten more greens lately. I would just watch for the next droppings. More importantly look at how he is acting, eating, drinking, etc. Here are some links with suggestions for various droppings:

Hi there. I am sorry you haven't had any responses yet. I am sure the educators will get back to you shortly. I am a duck person myself but can I ask why you are worried? Is it only because his poo is currently different to how it usually is? Or are there other concerning factors?
Just worried because of the red what I'm guessing could be blood but that is the only.

The green I think is normal they all like to eat the grass in the yard and pick off the needles off the tree branches (I live in a wooded are)

So watch if this mornings dropping also have red in them? ( i usually let them out in a few here so can definitely catch the morning poo)

He is eating and drinking hanging out with the group

Yes, it is probably just some intestinal shed. If it looks more bloody or becomes frequent, that is when to think about coccidiosis or worms.
So if it happens on the daily kind of thing?

I did buy some dewormer just in case or would it be better to have stuff for cocciodosis (I'm guessing both on hand wouldn't be bad just which would I try first I guess if it continues)

Thank you

Intestinal shed is seen occasionally and can be normal. If your vet would do a fecal float on some fresh droppings, you could check for worms and coccidiosis. I ask ahead, and if I happen to be seeing the vet with another pet, they have said they would do a fecal float on my chicken. Most chickens eventually develop resistance to coccidiosis by 3-4 months unless they have problems with immunity. Worms are in the soil, and can be a problem.

I saw a worm today, so I think I'm going to deworm them and go from there ( could the worms cause like feathers falling out or them picking at em? Though I'm not sure since it's only one of them that's doing it)
