Normal silkie behavior?

Hey everyone, my husband and I got our first silkies a few weeks ago (they are about 11 weeks old now) and they are doing great free ranging and going into the coop for bed at night. However, tonight we got home later around 7:30 and let all the chickens out for a bit before bed. When we went out to close the coop, we noticed one of our silkies asleep outside and when we picked them up, they didn't have as much of a reaction as they usually do. They were out eating and roaming with all the other birds before this. We put them in the coop and they snuggled up in their usual spot. Did we just confuse them by letting them out a bit late in the evening? Was the silkie just tired and that's why they didn't have as much of a reaction when we picked them up? Any input is appreciated!

When chickens choose a spot to roost or sleep they become very docile/sleepy. That’s why it’s recommended to inspect them for health issues, give medications and treat illnesses at night once they have started to sleep.

I'd also add it's not unusual for silkies to not like to roost. I would still provide roosting bars and try to encourage them to use them but if they don't, know that it's a breed thing and nothing to worry about
