Tending to my chickens
My pullet just laid her first egg yesterday. She's a good deal smaller than the other chickens, but her egg was about a medium-sized egg. I know it's common to have small first eggs, but is there anything wrong with a normal first egg?

I just had a RIR lay her first egg 2 days ago... it was between a med-lg egg... It was about 2pm... then she skipped yesterday, then this morning she gave me a very "small" egg. I cracked it open and it was pretty much just a regular sized yolk, with very little whites.... so I guess I will wait to see what tomorrow brings

Much to my surprise, she laid again yesterday, same size. I've never had a new layer lay that big and 2 days in a row. Is there anything wrong if a hen's laying schedule is actually normal when she's beginning to lay?
