Normal sized rooster and bantam hens

I have a large Naked Neck/Turken rooster that has been breeding my OEG bantam :barnie
She seems to handle it okay but occasionally she seems to have a limp.
It wasn’t my intention but my Silkie roo died.
I’m trying to find another bantam roo but I’m not really wanting to raise one from a chick because my NN roo is already claiming the bantam girls as his.
But if I bring in a mature bantam roo I’m afraid my NN and my Australorp cockerel will fight with him because he’s a stranger.
I personally keep my bantam hens separately from my standard breeds. Your hen could get killed being repeatedly mated by such large roosters, I have read posts of big roosters breaking necks during mating. It's probably stressful for her too.

Unless you separate her out you cannot match her with an appropriate sized rooster. So separating her out than introducing a bantam rooster is the best way.

Thank you. I plan on doing that but I just haven’t decided if raising the bantam male from a chick or getting an already matured bantam roo would be best.

If you only want one than get an older one. Just remember anything past very young hatchery chicks can potentially bring in diseases to your birds. If you want multiple chicks than I personally like raising them.

Had a large cochin cock breed a bantam cochin hen, all eggs were fertile all eggs hatched to produce a mid-size cochin. Birds are resilient creatures, as long as the bantam is not the only hen in the pen she should be alright.
