Normal?

Hi. All of my chicks sometimes sleep on top of the brooder, but other times don’t. Is this normal to sleep anywhere in the brooder? Also, is it normal for them to stretch a lot after sleeping? Here’s a pic slightly under:

You mean the heat plate ? The brooder is the thing they are in as chicks , the container .

Yes it’s normal for them to sleep everywhere. They are too warm so they sleep beside the heat.

Totally normal. My chicks arrived the first week of May, and were brooded in an unheated garage. They spent a lot of time on top of their Mama Heating Pad. They also did a lot of stretching just about every time they woke up.
