My almost 3 month old EE x Barred rock cockerel is already trying to mount things, not hens but like random stuff such as blankets. Is this normal for him being so young? I looked it up and it said they usually do it around 4-5 months old. He also hasn’t crowed yet.

Do you mean 4-5 months? That'd the usual...
....but they can start earlier, if that in fact is what you are seeing.
Video of behavior would be good in this case.
Yes I meant months, sorry I wrote that this morning when I just woke up and saw him doing it lol. I’ll try to get a video when I get home. He runs away from any hen avoiding any contact, but will try and mount blankets like I stated above which makes no sense to me, he’s also been very hostile towards people.

I have read numerous stories about cockerels humping inanimate objects,
if he's human aggressive too...he may just have humongous and early developing testicles. Might be a good subject for stewing.

Haha, yeah there’s no way I could do that I’ve raised him since a baby and spend a lot of my time with him. He’s not aggressive towards me it’s more my brother, he’s very like nice and cuddly but hates him for some reason.
