so i have guineas for 8 years and have always been told they will not lay in nesting boxes but our duck's buddy passed away so we moved her in with the guineas she has to sleep in there outdoor area due to her not being able to go us the ramp so we put in her little dog igloo and the guineas have started laying in there its pretty simular to them laying in a nesting box and we are getting chickens soon so they will have the opportunity to lay in some actual nesting boxes but im not sure if this is normal

Guineas will lay wherever they want to. If there are eggs in a nest, they may very well contribute to the effort.
