Your first cross will be all splits, breed those splits back together and you will get some lavs, keep the lavs and rehome the splits.

They will be HUGE!!!

Look at our poor girl, she is due any day now.

We moved her to the barn last week, today we cleaned and heavy bedded with straw as she nears. We also bred both of her daughters today, should have more babies come june.

I am wondering how my eggs will turn out if I hatch them, LF Buff Orp in with Barred Rocks, any ideas? Or how about crossed with my Dark Brahma hens........

All my silkies are doing well, at last count around 20 outside, 2 partridge in brooder box, 7 of Henry's harem in the incubator going in to lockdown on Sunday, and hopefully more Partridge Silkie eggs to follow over the next few weeks!!
