Where did you get your silkies from?

LOL okay okay so not poor girlfriend, you should tell her shes the hoarder, but your the collector you get them and she keeps them.

I bought most of them at the auction as day olds. I want to incubate but I'm just nervous and don't want to disappoint myself LOL

Wicked chicken auction in clayton. You should check 'em out on sunday. It's really a lot of fun. Just be careful because you'll want to bid on everything!

Quick question: Can my silkies go in the pen with my big hens?
I've heard that silkies skulls never close all the way and a hard peck could be fatal?

and some of my big hens aren't the nicest ladies.

most my silkies aint the nicest either, but I do (or try to) keep them in their own spot. I've been a few times to the wicked chicken. I read that theres a flock swap this sat in sanford and one on the 4th of Feb in fayetteville.

Yes, its true along with most of the crested breeds. But they could just as well hit their head and do the same or cause wry neck.

Boy did we have a humdoozie come through here, no tornadoes, but lightening and thunder and alot of rain too. Now going to get frigid again... Hope everyone is okay and no tornadoes.

So in 7 to 10 days you will be getting SNOW?
