Well the superbowl kinda disappointed me I guess I should have just gone to bed early!

Anyways, kinda sad... may not be around again for a few. I think my husband lost this job now too. The guy says he can't really afford him right now. I think I've gone numb. Lost 4 jobs since 2008. Running out of mental strength.

Thanks guys, I just don't know if I'm coming or going right now. I'm at work, and I had my hours cut to help out my babysitter so this is a REALLY bad time for me. I won't get my hours back until March and even that won't be enough to cover us.

I'm scared to get sick again, and stress really seems to kick in right before I get majorly sick. I am going to fight hard for that not to happen... but I already feel defeated today.

Looks like egg production is on the up, that is more important to me...

Hm, I think this post is where I am suppose to say where I am at, among other things as well, but I am from Jacksonville NC. Anyone else? I guess I need to start going backwards and see if anyone is near me. I am brand new so that would be kind of cool to meet someone close by.

@vfem, I'm so sorry to hear about the problems you are having right now. May I ask if you are a church goer at all? MOST of the time
church and your faith can really help in times like those, but yes there are definitely some churches that can mess you up more.

Those ones are NOT the kind I am talking about. No one HAS to go to church of course but it sure does help to have that fellowship with others that care about you in a mess like this. That is what the church is SUPPOSE to be for afterall. I hope you have lots of friends and/or family to help you.

I won't go into all that I am going through myself but put it this way.....I'm going to start raising chickens to sell some eggs so that MAYBE I can profit $50 a month or so. I have no clue really but do have some customers ready to buy from me. Plus, we are animal lovers here so they will be pets too. But even $50 would be such a blessing for sure. If it wasn't for my faith in God, my friends and family.....(mostly God, the others have let me down at times), I would be losing it by now. Praying things get much better for you soon. Looks like you've been on here a while so that is good too for some encouragement.

Sorry I use this place as a venting platform so much. I try to talk to my family and stuff, they just vent more about how I have it easy compared to them... so to by pass the situation, I just don't talk about it. Which of course means, I have be all sobby and 'blah' somewhere to get it out. Not to mention I can't vent on Facebook or its like high school and everyone starts gossiping!

I've had other issues come up today I have to deal with, so my daughter is staying at the babysitter while I try to take on more stuff. Hubby will be home soon to deal with it and hopefully I can start on the path to better days come morning.

Thank you ladies for the warm welcome. I have already gained TONS of info from this forum, it is very helpful.

@Vfem, I think it's great that you have friends here and where ever you can find a "safe" place to share your thoughts and things you're going through, it is always awesome I think. We all need that and sadly, we don't always get it from family and close friends. ESPECIALLY family! LOL. Sometimes they are the cause of a lot of headaches I know. Just my husband and I deciding to raise some chickens on our land made several family members question us. And doubt us. But oh well, it's not their life to live and I look at it as a fun, new & exciting adventure that hopefully I can make back a little bit more than the cost of feed each month. That would be awesome. More would even be better but I don't plan to get involved in a full blown business or anything. I am sure there is a lot to all that. Selling some really yummy eggs to a few friends, getting some for my own family that I know are 100% better than the stores AND make a little bit of money sounds fun to me. Do you or anyone have any experience with selling eggs at all? I am sure that is on another thread huh? I'll go look.

Oh, and we get our first ever chicks around the 13th. One week!
