I will let you keep it all, as I am perfectly content NOT dealing with it!! DH was so sad we didn't get any snow and has been calling his parents to see what the snowfall count is "back" home... only 10 feet have fallen this year thus far (go Wisconsin)...and they can KEEP IT!!

Bhep - CONGRATS on your egg!! I am SO excited for you...now I can start having you hatch me some cute muscovy ducks and....and...and...LOL, oh wait...I am suppose to be convincing our neighbor to sell us his pasture next to us first. <sigh> What DH doesn't know, right?!?

I am so sad to say that there is just over a month until this little terror is going to be introduced to us, and he/she has decided to make me sicker than anything!! Who knew I'd get to revisit morning sickness all over again....SO unfair. LOL At least I have a good supply of saltines AND I learned how to process a chicken last week when I was feeling normal!!

Next time I will suck it up for sure Mary! I was the one with the really bad RED dye job! lol

RF and Scared, those poor girl's beaks are nubs. They won't be growing back for sure. I have a drop feeder in their coop so I hope its deep enough, but I'm going to get them a second bowl for treats and scraps. I have them locked in the coop now where they can't get into the run. I figure they need a day or 2 to get used to home before I let them wonder. So I'll just be spoiling them until then.

Ruth, oh the days of morning sickness... how I dread thinking back to having to go through that again. I remembered I lived off of candied ginger back then. It will all be well worth it though, and you'll forget about all of it soon enough! :D

vfem yeah I know how bad some debeakings can be, i doubt too they'd grow back, usually they snip them above the quick on chicks just for that reason. I'd definitely make them softer or finer treats, maybe throw greens and other harder treats in a blender give it a few chops in there to halfway liquify it, and stick it in a bowl to make a dry gruel for them if they seem to have trouble eating regular scraps.

Do you have any Lav Orp Bantams??

You are correct Beth, I do have bantam lav orps. There are actually only three of us in the US that I know of working on them. They are still a project and at this point none have been released. I have been hatching and growing out F2's for a few months now.

No I don't... I THINK henthymes may. Don't quote me on that ,she has different colors. I do have lav Ameracaunas LF & bantam PURE. NOT EEs. Also Lav. Muscovy ducks.

Would of love what bit of snow we got yesterday to have hung around for at least today, the kids would have enjoyed sledding. We only got a dusting and it was gone this morning. It's already over 50 here today and beautifully sunny.
