Sooo Sweeet!!!!

Been trying for days to post pics of my newest chicks mama hatched on Thurs. still haven't gotten the hang of all the new stuff, but these are Bantam cochins..

Matt- I'm so sorry you lost JJ.

Mary- very cute chicks! Never heard of a chocolate silkie.

NH- *fingerscrossed* for the baby to pop out soon.

Last night before bed 5 chicks had hatched so far, so I snuck my lone australorp chick under her, this morning my australorp was doing great and 2 more chicks popped out over night! hoping she will continue to accept the australorp!

Ughhhhh! I just saw all of Mary's little silkies she brought back from WCA. I talked myself out of it and went to rake leaves instead. They also had a pygmy goat and guineas two other things we are looking for. Oh well hubby probably wants to go have fun at the auction as well. Just have to wait 4 more weeks before we all go

Mary- just out of curiosity how did they sell the baby silkies? Individual or group? Did they have a lot of silkies pairs?

Matt- I am so sorry to hear about your beloved cochrin. I did not know they.tend.to have heart problems. We ordered a partridge pair in our chick order.

Yay! My chicks are hatching! Boo! They aren't really ameracaunas! Apparently the person I got them from had a rogue Bcm rooster around the ameracauna hens. Not thrilled, but now I have lots of fluffy faced fuzzy legged chicks! Still have eggs in the incubator that haven't hatched yet, I'll post pics when they are all out!

Hi! Just fyi, because of the cross those chicks are Olive Eggers, should lay some beautiful olive colored eggs.

Hi! Just fyi, because of the cross those chicks are Olive Eggers, should lay some beautiful olive colored eggs.

That's what I thought, and I'm excited anyways. Just not what I expected. They hatched out of some beautiful blue eggs. Pictures are coming, I just moved a bunch of them to the brooder.
