She is cute! Just from what I can see her back seems decent and not too long, I like her comb and wattles, nice full chest, good tail set (as long as it's not pinched), wings are decent and she may bring them down more vertical once in a coop next to others. I would say she would be worth bringing to the Morganton show and seeing how she does...
*Lots of practice on a table away from the rooster*
Thanks
I just have a couple questions. What do I need to do to enter her in the show and how much would it cost? What do I need to practice on with her? I have never entered a chicken in a show before so I have no clue
First, how old is she? Is she a hen or a pullet? Then you need to call Brian Price with the Friendship Poultry Club 828--442-4890 and tell him you would like to enter the show and that you have a serama hen/pullet and he will now where to put you.. The cost is $2.25 for the class a $1.00 for coop clean up for a whopping $3.25!
Just start handling her allot, take her out of her pen and put her on a table (we went to
walmart and bought a folding tray table for under $10) put her on it everywhere that you are. Let lots of people handle her, have them pick her up and put her back on the table. The more time she spends away from the rooster the better. Get her to eat treats out of your hand, she will come around in no time.
