Much better picture of him.

His tail set looks better and his chest is good but he still needs to be more vertical in his wings, does he bring them down at all?

Here is a picture of my rooster (when he was much younger, not a great picture) it shows really good vertical wing carriage.

*post in a minute, computer probs...

Thats fine

It took him ( and me ) some time to get him to stand still and let me take his picture. When he walks he brings his wings down more, I will try to get a picture.

That is beautiful. A good cleaning, maybe some sanding, and a couple coatings of linseed oil inside and out is all the body looks to need. Linseed oil will seal the wood and keep it from drying out. Also brings out the coloring and beauty of the redwood.

OK, tired of feeding the local hawk......another loss. My little buff cochin banty, Snickers. Everyone always asks "why is it always the favorite". Now I too, can ask that one. Inspite of all I do to deter the dang things.
Also, my oldest hen is in the infirmary, not sure what's going on there other than just old age.
The life of a poultry owner, hatches and losses, ups and downs. Wouldn't change a thing. Can't live without them.
Good morning NC. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Dang weather tho'. Can't wait for spring!!!!!

Isn't it Spring yet???

You guys are making me antsy... I can't wait to start hatching!

Sadly, my silkies are not brody, and worse... they're still not LAYING!!!

I did get a new white silkie and the frizzle blue show girl. So very excited to see what we can hatch this year. Though I am sure 2 of my black silkies may have stopped laying for good

They'll be 3 years old this year, and I haven't gotten an egg from either of them since September.

In fact... I haven't gotten an egg from ANY of my birds since October. We did have a molt period, but isn't that well over by now?
