Good Morning NC. Yesterday I was surprised to find out that my 16 year old goose, Gordon (toulouse) still has it in him! He and my 10 month old sebbie were in the pool.........you know! I got the sebbie about a year after Gordon, she was just a baby. She has matured into quite the looker and I guess that made Gordon perk up and take notice. At the rescue, where he came from, they told me that he had never shown any interest and was probably too old and arthritic. Ha! He is a happy boy.

Way to go Gordon! Living life to the fullest. Just proves the patient are rewarded! I didn't even know they lived that long!
My pipped egg is going for the bowling approach, to get out! Rolling back and forth, really working hard. More eggs movin, and the pecks are becoming like popcorn! Think the first will be named Brunswick! Just want it to unzip...

And it did! 1st born at 9:01! Name Brunswick.
Question! Is it ok it has knocked every egg in the bator completely off there axis and mark?

congratulations greenskeeper!! there's nothing you can do about Brunswick playing soccer with his hatchmates....but, next time, you might consider hatching in egg cartons---I always do. It makes it easier to see who has pipped; it keeps the unhatched chicks from becoming disoriented or delayed in hatching; reduces the "mess" in the bator, and generally just works better. You cut the lid off the egg carton; cut the tray half down to the appropriate size for your eggs; cut the bottom out of each "cup" in the tray.
