Phew...that was fun! Cleaned out the coop, went and bought some vinyl flooring, and glue. Cut the vinyl to fit and glued it down. Then filled it up with river sand! It turned out very nice though....hopefully my back will feel better tomorrow..

Before - used pine shavings.

After - Got rid of pine shavings, cleaned out coop, laid vinyl flooring.

Finished - Switched to River Sand. This should be easier to clean!

The hubby built all of mine. One has a concrete floor that slopes to a drain. Another is made of all recycled materials, but still very functional.

I would love to hear how this works for cleaning time (keep me posted). I know the hens will love having a place to take a sand bath when it is raining outside.

Hi,

Soon to be moving from NM. Overall, it's a good thing, but I am really, really, really, really sad to have to rehome all my kids.

Once we get settled permanently, I'll get to grow a new flock, but I'm sure going to miss my girlies. The boys- not so much.

We have about another week with them, but I'm working on rehoming the boys asap. I had really hoped to move them all, but it's just not going to work out. Boo. Did I mention we are sad to leave our girls?
