Hi Kathie~~long time, no see. Miss Lydia is right (of course

), I would soak them off in some warm soapy water, then dry their feet with a blow dryer. Think you can come to the show in Morganton Kathie?? would love to see you there.

Just got home from Morganton; went to help set up for the show on Saturday. That's the first time I've ever been able to go.....my goodness there's alot of work involved, I had no idea. We DO get the heated building !!

Now I need a cup of hot coffee....

I don't know about Morganton, but I think one day I will drive to Bat Cave to say hi. Phyllis does not have poop ball toes, luckily. I did soak my Butter Bean tonight, but I only got two off. I will do it again tomorrow and have a tool of some kind to help. She did not mind, and I will try again tomorrow. I took much of the straw out of their area, and now I am wondering if I should not have. I have never had this problem before. I am going to keep a better eye on their feet from now on.

does this happen because of the feathers, I have cochins and haven't had this problem or is it more because of the five toes?

Kathie~~is it just on the tips of the toenails? or is it like on the bottom of their feet? I don't use straw with any of the Silkies, because they have a tendency to tie their feet together with it. You'd have a great time at the show, you know But you're ALWAYS welcome in Bat Cave
