sheesh, sorry.. I guess since I lived on the west coast for so long, everything is backwards for me. Down there is now up there, east is now west etc. Ok, I SHOULD HAVE POSTED. **** shift key stuck again..... Well here on the eastern side of the State. Drat!!!!
why I need some of you western, central people to move closer. I need some meet ups and WCA's closer... Trust me, you don't want me on the road for over 3 hours.... I use my trusty Gousha map from gawd knows when to see where everyone lives. Half of the places you live in are not even on the darn thing. Must be kind of old.... kind of like me...

Quote: No she is still alive. We cleaned out her wound and she seemed to be fine with it. She has control of all of her limbs so there doesnt seem to nerve damage. It looks really bad in this picture but she is sleeping soundly right now. when i lifted her to put the paper towels under her she clucked. Im trying to stay hopeful

don't think I've ever seen a chicken sleep on it's back
hope she heals soon and back to a chipper bird

Flip her over. Chickens do not breathe well on their backs.

Matt
her wound starts on her right wing and goes up towards her head. I didnt want her to try and stand and make the wound worse. I watched her for a solid hour and she didnt seem to be labored in her breathing. But I will try and role her over and see how she does

I hope your precious Ginger makes it!!!

question about the shows...bear with me, I am a newbie... Do they have chicks or pullets for sale, or is it just a show to look and judge, like best in class, etc.
I am in Alamance Co, and the Winston-Salem and/or Greensboro area are easy to check out. And I'm hoping to have my coop built by March.
