Well I just can't stay happy, :hit :hit :hit I'm on my way to the hospital this morning, I woke up with severe cramps and I'm scared to death. I'm not sure what's going on... if it's just false labor, though I'm barely 4 months along...........or worse. :(

YAY glad he is crowing and Tyrone is doing his job. BTW, I think you need to lock those girls up for a week or so and force some laying INSIDE the coop. They have to be laying somewhere.
I would, but we would have to figure out a way to lock the guineas OUT because when they are cooped up for ANY length of time, they TERRORIZE the chickens!! I see them ripping out tail feathers from my POL girls and just ganging up on my teenager boys...they STILL pound on Tyrone and I'm not sure if that's why, but he's SUPER skittish! I managed to lock them up for about 4 days (without the guineas) but nothing happened, so I let them back out...my heart couldn't take it, they looked SO sad!! Suggestions then??

As for the egg song...I guess I was spoiled because my orpingtons ALWAYS told me when they laid - and the roosters repeated it for like 5 minutes!! LOL

I am praying for you!!

Go in there at night and put the guineas in a crate then let them out in the morning. Leave the chickens IN until they lay some darn eggs! They will get over it.

BTW, Tyrone is skittish because his mother was crazy!! The toppy hen I have is the same way.

Have been posting (a little) here and there, but don't feel like a "real" member yet since I don't have my chicks. Can't wait to have some cute pictures and stories to tell:) I have always been so impatient!

Busymadre, I was on for months before my I got my chicks. As long as you are interested in the topics, you are a member. Full-fledged - so to speak.
