Tell me again whats happening this weekend....Im confused..Is it the same as last years at Morganton? Or is it the Chickenstock that was in Lincolnton?

NH, you know we all have done this or something just like it. Please don't beat yourself up about it.

I had one get trapped on bottom not too long ago, and so knew when I counted 9 white birds that something was off today. In the teens I had a certain number of birds in variable breeds, and two out of the bunch were male. The rest are pullets. So I had expected a count of 8 white, (two different breeds), and from this I took a closer look at all of the birds to see who did not belong. How could this be? Well we have been finding an egg in that run, and I thought that DS-2 was putting it in there.I noticed that the one with the comb really did not look like a boy......

My RIW hen that has been laying for me for a long time now was in there! Mystery solved! Crazy bird. I still don't know how she got in there.

crate coop coming along didnt get as far as i wanted had to help a buddy fix a fence and build a gate.. but i got is primed roof tomorrow and run

Coop, we have a greenhouse and started tomatoes, peppers and a few broccoli 2 wks ago. Started more tomatoes & peppers in the house on Jan 21. What do you have going?

Morganton is the Unifour Poultry show that is normally the first Sat of March each year. There was a problem this year and the show had to be moved up one weekend to this Sat.

Chickenstock is still over in Lincolnton and is several weeks away.

Good evening! It's been a busy day for me: hanging laundry out to dry, made two dozen muffins, baked some bread, made some pasta (rolling it out takes FOREVER!), and had to contact the breeder I bought my ducks from, because my drake is chasing two of my bantam hens around. He's only been doing this since one of his ducks died last week. Breeder is letting me take two of his females in hopes this will calm the drake down so he'll leave the hens alone. How was everyone elses day?

NH: You're not a bad chicken mama! You've got so much going on right now, you don't need the added stress of thinking you're failing at raising chicks.
