Of course it wouldn't...

Just out of curiousity, did you see her other pick of the ducks? Apparently that's a stock photo, it's got a watermark over it. I know from selling some stuff on ebay that it will actually pull up pics from internet images, and then you have the option to use it or not. I also know that you can remove a pic by revising your selling item. So all she would have to do would be revise it and find someone else's pic to steal. Hope you get it resolved. I know it's frustrating.

IMHO - People should use their own pics.... especially for something like this.... so people can see what they are getting their eggs off of.

Hello all you NC-BYC'ers !!! Glad to know ya !, well getting to know ya hopefully. I'm in Elm City (lil' bitty town just outside Wilson which is about 30 miles SE of Raleigh).

I just picked up 6 red ladies this past Friday and had my first AIR flighter today. One on my watch and one when hubby got home. I think it was Rosy both times, just cause she's got to know what's happening, apparently...

10 days old today, they are beginning to turn red in a few places, just a light shade of color. Still working on the coop and run, but should have complete before they get ready to reside there.

This is my first time for anything live, other than a fish and a couple dogs. I was so excited when they came home and then again when they got their feathers and now they're flying, I was excited for her to fly just not to have her loose and me have to "slowly" apprehend her...but I did it !!!! ME, the city (originally from Louisville, KY) girl relocated to the country town. I have handled the chicks since we brought them home, fed/watered them, changed the litter, done it allllll.....I'm so proud of ME.

You chickeneers have a great night.

My in laws live in Elm City (well just outside) Rock Quarry Rd to be exact... Little place they call Harmony Hill... Enjoy your chickens... Have a great week..

of the parent stock.....not pics of example birds
which is what it seems the person is doing. It
seems to me like buying blind so to speak......JMHO

it's hard enough to sell without people out there
misrepresenting the business. I refuse to use ebay
for hatching eggs and this is why.....too many frauds

Mary - I am so sorry you are having all this trouble!! If they are using your photos, it makes one wonder what their stock is really like....or where they actually get it from!! I am sorry this fraud has happened to you. I pray everything works out for you!!

WELCOME TO ALL THE NEW FOLKS!!

We had some really rough wind yesterday - knocked a few trees down out back (yay...more firewood, for um...summer bonfires??) It gusted so badly that it "ripped" the coop door open and we had an escape fiasco!! My "time out" birds were loose all over the yard. I find this out by my oldest saying, "Mommy, look! CHICKENS"...LOL. Got everyone locked back up and I don't even know how long they were out. I'm wondering too because I only managed to get ONE egg yesterday, but I won't complain...it's an egg!!
Found a home for one of my little roosters - the blue (I don't know what color to call him/or what to call him) buff Cochin Orp Mutt who is my "horniest" teenager. A friend has a flock of all girls and is hoping for a rooster...so she's coming on Saturday to pick him up (and I think she secretly wants to learn how to process her chickens as she was excited to learn that we're processing a few this weekend). LOL

No duck eggs for me...YET that I know of. I'm sure I'll find a nest someday hidden in the woods or something.

The best news of all: we're in for a gorgeous weekend!!

Good Morning, Happy Chicken People!

And.....Happy Pi Day! That's right, it's 3.14, mathematical Pi. So we must have Pie today to celebrate! I just have to figure out what kind I want to make!

The chickens appear to like their new abode. Hawk-bait rooster is still at the old henhouse, wondering why he's alone. We can't kill him until this weekend; he's just walking the Green Mile. He'll make good dog stew.

Still haven't figured out what's wrong with my old tom turkey, Bob. Both legs and both feet swell and subside, sometimes both together, and sometimes one at a time. When he's feeling better, he tries to sleep on the roof of the chicken house. The impact when he gets down flares him right back up. He walks like a drunk sailor, and you can tell his feet and legs hurt. We have searched for wounds, abcesses, bumblefoot signs, and see nothing. Any ideas?
