My girls will be 19 weeks at the end of this week.I feel your pain! I am anxious for some egg action as well. My girls are 12 weeks old - what about yours?
Quote: When you use a bucket also cut a lid so you end up about a 2" lip at the high spot in the middle. It helps keep them from moving the eggs all over the coop!

I have some 16 weeks and have to keep myself from checking the nesting boxes daily. I know I have a month to go but I am exited. My other girls are getting a little old and a few have stopped laying. Oh by the way, anyone got any good ideas on how to find out who is laying and who isnt? I cant stand out there all day to see who goes into the boxes and who doesn't. Plus a couple of the girls are tricky, they go into the boxes but dont lay. I thought about putting a motion sensor camera in there but maybe there is a easier way that Im not thinking of. I hate to send any of the girls to the retirement home that are still laying. My girls will be 19 weeks at the end of this week.
I've been wondering the same thing. Mine are all the same age and I know they won't all start on the same day. I guess I'll figure it out, but I'll probably google it to see if I can find any info.I have some 16 weeks and have to keep myself from checking the nesting boxes daily.
