Touch up and settling still to do. No, it's not level. No, it's not perfect. But no, it's not an ever-changing series of holes, either. He'll still be mad, but oh, well.

Looks real nice, I'm sure it was a lot of work. He might say something about it but that's only because he is embarassed you had to do it and not him. Lol. I would be like "many pats on the back honey, it looks great! The back side walk would look great like that too! Lol"

So we FINALLY got some rain over this way. Much needed!! And I just looked out to notice my girls out in it! Should I shut them in? I think the temp has dropped a bit - they will be smart enough to go in if they get chilled, right?!

I would suggest anyone NOT wanting to walk
very much avoid the zoo.......it's a beautiful zoo
that is very spacious and means LOTS of walking
to see all the exhibits. I love the zoo and it's one of
the best I have seen but it is a few miles of walking
and the center area of the zoo is uphill from both
of the entrances.....likewise for the Battleship North
Carolina in Wilmington.......great to visit and see but
lots of walking......the aquarium at Fort Fisher or Pine
Knoll would be good places to take the kids and then

beach.......that always has me bringing home wore out
grandbabies and great memories  :D

I like this post! Acurate! Man that zoo is a lot of walking. With it being warm if you go to the zoo, Be There Early! That will be the best time for not to die sweating and for the kids to see the animals. In the heat of the afternoon they like to hide in the shade and you will not get much action.
Wilmington aquarium description right on point. Definately bring a picnic.

TSC on Raeford Rd was popping today. Full out bouce house, snow cones, horse rides and lots of animals. I have never been a part of it when its jumping like that. Everyone mingeling and friendly. The lady parked next to me had a couple rabbits and rooster for sale. She was nice and her son bought a pullet from me. She knew everyone including the horses so my son and I got a close up view of that. Cool event.

I'm planning a trip to the zoo this summer with my friend from school once all of our kids are out of school for the summer. We have to branch out, we've completed everything in the Wilmington area. I live right outside of Wilmington, so when we go to the Fort Fisher aquarium we usually go early in the morning and get home before lunch. I've only ever been to the Philadelphia Zoo, so I'm excited to check out a different zoo.

Since December we have had almost 4 FEET of rain! We are so sick of it and the ticks are awful. Can't wait for these guineas to get big enough to go out and eat them.....
