North Carolina

Oh ya...Oh ya, doing the chicken dance this am. My flock after buying 2months ago finally settled in and layed me 3 eggs this morning. It was a happy day until I notice one of my 2 roos(his name is poachy)has black spots on his comb. I noticed it 2 days ago and has multiplied, Do any of you know what this is?

I know pics help but these chickens were not raised by me and will not sit in my lap to pose like other chickens Ive read about on here, but I will try my best.

Hey Gavin you need to put an add in the local paper "Lonely rooster in need of some lovely Ladies to add to my harem" wonder what kind of feed back you'd get?

Daddys maybe you should put some acv in their water too, I put it in my chickens drinking water everyday, ! Tab. to 1 gallon. It helps with alot of different things..

Goodmorning all....

It is a beautiful morning on the end of the state. Going to get some rain tonight...better then snow.

Got the call from the PO this am. Went and picked up some eggs I won on auction. Auction was for 10+......I got 27!

So yes, that was exciting.

Now I need to stay off the auction thread. Period! Next eggs I get will be for the Easter Hatch.

Daddy...I just use a wet papertowel (very warm water) and wipe/pick off the poop. If the butt looks red I put a smidge of antibotic cream. Hope they all get over it soon. Nothing like pick poo off a chick butt.

Welcome to everyone joining the thread.

anyone with silkie chicks will knowwhat i mean, they look all straggly feathered (grunge dressers), tell tales on each other, push, shove andare so noisy! am glad they listen to Brad Paisley and not Kanye West!

HT I have 1 horse in a 30 x 70 barn. He has chickens & ducks under his feet, in his water, eating his food, on his back etc. He gets no respect. If a horse could roll his eyes.... Ooo wait he does, and sighs.

How old are those buffs. If you get better pics of their faces, I could take a stab at sexing them. Of course you could wait until they crow or lay an egg.

I believe they were born around the beginning of December but will confirm that. I am going to try and get some good pictures of them later today and will post.
