dang I'd like to figure out what it is

maybe OEG bantam or a long tail bantam of some sort? I guess ill see when its grown lol
We are going to a system of colored lag bands that are numbered
.......each color having a numbered series......and then recording
in a ledger from hatching who are the parents, egg color hatched
from, egg color laying if a hen, etc. etc. etc. just so we can keep track
of the birds.

Wow I missed a lot in a few hours!
The first thing I thought of was an odd colored OEG like lavender with something else, but I don't know know much about bantams so figured I'd bite my tongue to keep from sounding stupid lol. But TSC has OEG in all colors including lavender and the ones I've seen grown out do have that body style and obviously the single comb unlike the sebrights. If you're still looking for a sebright I gave in and let my kids grab a bantam from TSC like 8 weeks I'm pretty positive my silver laced sebright is a rooster, but I'll give him a few more weeks to be sure.

Also, finally have some chicks hatching!!!

Oh, hey, while we're on the subject of bantams...
TSC gets theirs exclusively from Mt Healthy which carry 4 types of bantams-- Mille Fleurs, Black or White Silkie, OEG of all colors, and Golden or Silver Sebrights. My kids got this little girl the same time as the Sebright. Obviously it's not any of the latter breeds which leaves the Mille Fleur. As she feathered out I called Mt Healthy thinking she was a cochin and they told me no, they don't carry cochin bantams.
Mille Fleur is technically a color not a breed, but is it normal for one to hatch out without the pattern at all? What would she be considered then, a Black D'Uccle? I'm not even a fan of bantams I don't know why I let the kids get them, I need to remember to avoid TSC during chick days!

Farmraised here's my Silver Sebright. He's like 8 weeks old, you all thinking he is in fact a he? At first I thought he'd be a girl he had tail feathers before any of the others. There's no hackle or saddle feathers yet, but that sure is a lot of red and wattles for that age, I guess I was hoping bantams just got their red much earlier.

That's what I thought all along Beth!!!
I don't know, when I called them they told me it was impossible since they didn't carry them in bantams.
I have another that looks just like it in blue.
I don't know much about bantams, but I know enough to know they weren't Mille Fleurs pattern.
A lot of the characteristics of the cochins and the D'Uccles are the same as far as feathering, single comb, red lobes, etc. but the D'uccles carry their body completely different. I was thinking maybe because they were young or hatchery stock?
Haha I don't know!
