Well I've posted an ad to Craigslist and most every poultry themed Facebook page affiliated with my area but definitely hit me up next time you head this way. Hatching eggs would be the way I would want to go

Maybe 24. Have never had quail, but they sound delicious and I wish to boil their tiny eggs for cute kid snacks. Just want to keep maybe 6 females and 2 males at first to keep it going. But you can't beat a 6 week turn around and 16 day incubation.

I've never had mine start laying at six weeks. Eight is more like it. Still, no complaints here! And if you're willing to spend the time, they make awesome deviled eggs for a party!

They lay well...seasonally, but well during the season. You can easily get over run!

DS returns from a trip today. So this week or so we'll be transporting him and his animals back up to Boone. I'm not exactly sure when he'll be going back, though. He may want to chill out a bit and get fed a lot of American food before he heads back...or he may want to go home tomorrow!

We'll becoming from the east. I'm not sure how far you are from Boone. Might not be feasible if you are further than it looked.
