Hey chickencame1st. I'm goin to look (maybe buy). I only have 3 hens trying to increase my flock. I do have a leghorn roo I'm wanting to get rid of but my son took a likin to and now he is part of the flock.

Good luck rehoming! Do you have pictures you could post of them?

The better option for fuquay Varina would be Fayetteville or The Urban Chicken in Raleigh. That is THE most amazing store for chicken supplies and small farm animals. Laura Harper the owner lives chickens. They have the next one Sept 13. Check out their Facebook page and website.

My Legbar roos over the Leghorns throw the autosexing gene and hopefully a larger blue egg. I only know for sure the cockeral chick's head has a darker yellow spot and the bullet is just plain. They are still white with large comb with a few random black feathers. Adult birds are a little larger than utility Leghorns.

I really don't where to start. I have a rir hen that a lady gave me. I have two silver lace dotts sisters that a friend gave me then I saved a 5 month old white leghorn roo from a cullin. Should I just pick a bread and stick with it or just see what will happen with what I got. I need to decide cause Fred the roo will be ready to start doing what Roos do soon.

Good morning folks

Another lovely day in chickendom is here. I hear all the roosters,
big men that they are, singing out their he-man crow and then this little
voice chimes in trying to out crow them.........young half grown teenagers.
They are funny to hear. I like the sounds of the morning.

hope everyone has a good day
